As a budding photographer, it is important for you to learn more about the controls of your camera. Photographers lacking in knowledge on the camera controls find themselves in problematic situations all the time. Therefore, it is important for you to make the best of the photography training you are in by gaining as much knowledge on the controls as practically possible. The efforts you put in at this stage will decide how far you are going to go as a photographer.

The most basic thing is to learn to control the settings for shutter stop and aperture. Learning this would help you control the amount of light that enters the camera and take better photos. Controlling the exposure to light is important to make photos look real good. Most photographers have difficulty understanding the controls in the beginning, but things start looking easier with the right photography training program.

How to Draw a Pig
Posted on October 9th, 2011 at 5:49 AM by admin

If you want to know how to draw a pig, all you need to do is think of watermelons. Why should you think about watermelons? Because a pig’s basic shape is very much like a watermelon. If that does not work for you, you can think of a pig as a big blimp shape, or as an oval on its side. You can even image the shape of the pig you want to draw as being a football, or pigskin, but footballs are kind of pointy at the ends and so they aren’t as good to use as a watermelon.

Once you have the basic watermelon shape down, the next thing to do is to draw a circle for the pig’s head. Then add two triangles for the ears, and a very short tube to create your pig’s snout. Finally add some more tubes for the legs, with two little triangles for the hoof of each foot.

Our Special Day
Posted on August 3rd, 2011 at 2:58 PM by admin

I am getting married in nearly three months and I want to make sure that everything is absolutely perfect. My future husband and I just met about five months ago, but we knew from the start that there was no way that we could live our lives without each other. He asked me to marry him after just six weeks of dating and I did not think twice about saying yes. We are in a rush now to make sure that we get everything set up so things will be perfect on our day. We have already set things up with the caterer and the florist. Now we are just working on getting the right photographer since hiring the wrong one could ruin the wedding. We have done internet searches for “Orange County Photography” and now it is just about figuring out who will give us good quality at a decent price.

Beach wedding ideas for the ceremony can be very different and varied. If you do not want your guests to sit in the open, a quick and easy way is to plant some bamboo poles and drape some gauze or even unbleached cotton over it. Make sure that will not fall over, though. It should not be a flimsy structure even if it is temporary. You could dye the cloth the color you want. A rainbow color could be great, but if you rather want it plain, you could leave it white or use a light blue or a light green for it. You do not even need to sew any of it, but crisscross it at the top and tie it with beautiful silken ribbons or raffia at the bamboo poles. You could also invest in some luxurious fabric if you so wish, such as taffeta or silk. You could always use it as curtains after the event.

Since the oldest of days, people in the US have tried to create a marvellous portrait from photo shooting, but only a couple of artists actually managed to achieve such a feat. The reason why most people can’t really create such marvellously looking pieces of art is because of the lack of talent and furthermore, experience. I must tell you that when I visited the art store over at Mozart Art Studios Ltd, I remained stunned at the sight of those artists working. They were using techniques out of this world and all of them were highly experienced and trained. If you believe you are able to achieve such a performance, you should first test your skills. A good way to do that is to paint a couple of portraits of some of your friends or even a portrait of yourself. If you manage to get a nice portrait, I’m sure everyone will be amazed.

In this short Tokina 16.5-135 coverage, I will be discussing about some of the pros and cons of this lens. This lens is certainly an amazing lens that gives tremendous value for the given price. I have gotten this lens recently and have been shooting with this lens like crazy. Enough about the introduction and let us jump straight into the article.

First, this lens has a very good focusing mechanism. The focusing ring is very easy to operate. This is very good news for photographers who love to use manual focusing. Then, the autofocusing is very fast and accurate as well on this lens. I was able to take some fast moving action using this lens.

The thing that I do not like about this lens is that it has significant zoom ring backlash. This means that the zoom ring is a little stiff to operate. This is not so great when you want to switch quickly from shooting panorama to shooting telephoto.

We like asking you such silly and thought provoking questions. Because truly, we like to test you and enjoy your reactions! At this post by the San Diego wedding photographer find out how the two things are interrelated!

Well, the answer is, they are not! However, there is one small connection between them indeed. What happens when you stop practicing? You lose touch with your art.

The same applies to wedding photographers. It means that they have to be ready with their styles of taking different shots with all the props around.

Balancing these props, keeping their place in the camera, keeping the subject focused and then getting the best possible result out requires some though and some practice.

So, this is where a dollar shop comes in. It is the source of these props – and at very affordable rates too! Which means, you do not have to worry about practicing with possible risks and then concentrating on those risks instead of your photography!

So, worry not. Go to a dollar shop – and pick up all the props you want. Happy practicing!

This is the Tamron 18-270 review that I create specifically because Tamron broke a record by releasing this lens. The record that they broke is that they are now the first camera lens manufacturer to release a DSLR lens with a magnification factor of more than 13.9X. This is quite and achievement in the DSLR camera industry.

Why would you need such long zoom range? Well, this lens is created for convenience and compactness. By having such a long zoom range, you would not have to carry many lenses inside your bag. Simply having just one lens will do everything. You can shoot from wide angle landscape to wildlife photography.

This is the perfect travel photography lens. When you are traveling, sometimes you simply cannot be bothered to change lens. With this lens, you can simply snap away and enjoy your vacation more. If you belong to those groups, then you will enjoy this lens immensely.

I bought a bunch of magnetic name badges for the staff today and I realized that they all have been losing the magnets that come on the back of the magnetic name tags. The reason for this is becasue the magnetic clasp comes in two parts, one end is attached to the name badge by a sticky strip of tape, and the other end is a magnet that attaches to the metal bar that attaches to the name badge. The problem is when the employees take off the name badges, they do not replace the magnetic clasp onto the name badge for safe keeping. When they do that, they all seem to be losing the back part of it. I can’t just replace the magnetic back of the name badges and I need to buy the entire magnetic name tag over and over again. I need to start charging the staff for the replacements.

So, I know what you’re thinking. You’d really like to get a family picture done in time for the holidays, but you don’t know where to start. Well, there are lots of options you can choose from when wanting to get that annual holiday picture taken. You could either call a Raleigh photographer to a chain portrait studio. You know, the department store or the place in the strip mall. Unless you have an amazing coupon, I’d like to let you know that they really aren’t all that cheap. They sell you expensive prints by the page in 20 minutes. What kind of personal attention and time do you estimate is taken to make sure your pictures are as gorgeous as they should be? If this is the one time a year that you take your kids or family to have a photograph made, please be sure you are getting the most value for your money.

Stores like the department stores or other retailers, employ young kids as the photographer. Now, you might get a good one. I’m not saying they’re all terrible or aren’t interested in photography as a career. But what I am saying is that they are likely to be less experienced. Also, they have a very limited time. So, they have to meet you, you have to get comfortable in front of the camera, pick a few poses, say CHEESE!, then they download the photos and edit them on the spot. Chances are they’re not going to be the best. Okay in a pinch, but defintely not custom photography.

Custom Raleigh photography means you are going to pay more, but honestly, not necessarily that much more. Seriously! And you’re going to get so much more time and personal attention, plus it will be customized to you and your family. It will result in pictures that you are guaranteed to love so much more.

If someone were to ask me weather Inuit Art is a sound investment, I would answer ‘depends’. Like anything regarding art, there are works that get highly praised, while others that pretend to be highly praised, but really is just junk.

Factors that should be considered when choosing your Inuit art sculpture are primarily the name of the artist. Some artists are much more recognized than others. This greatly effecting both your initial purchasing price, and its value which appreciates over time. This is especially true if the artist becomes diciest.

A good way to determine an artists notoriety is simply by typing in their name on the internet. If they are a household name, you will see their name appear next to many exhibits, and art galleries that showcase their pieces. International exhibitions only display the finest Inuit art made in Canada, and as such, only the best artists are invited to display their pieces. International exhibitions are especially important, as the artists name becomes recognized an an International forum, generating much more awareness and publicity for the artist, in-turn making their pieces higher in value.

Another thing to look for of course is the craftsmanship. You can tell when a carving was crafted with attention to detail and precision. The uniqueness of the subject also plays a factor. There are many artists who are younger, that also carve beautifully that have not been warranted that International exposure at such time. However, if you see that there work is extremely good, than it might be worth it to invest in their pieces as well, as there is a good chance they will become famous.

Bottom line, Inuit carvings are no different than a painting. The awareness and fame of the artists plays a huge role in determining the value of your piece.
